Hi, Ellen. I just wanted to thank you for the blog entry you wrong on age discrimination. It’s nice to hear some honesty together with a genuine empathy with people in our position. Some people wouldn’t bother.
I’m in the midst of getting my CPA license at 55. I think I’ll just hang out a shingle and compete with the locals if I can’t join them. I have a lot of relevant experience. And, as it happens, I still have a functioning brain and an excellent work ethic, and realistically speaking, I may not have a choice when the time comes. All I really have to do is make life easier for my clients, and I already know how to do that from all my work experience!
